Substances used:
Hyaluronic Acid - Used for the fulfillment of small
wrinkles and ridges in the face. This product acts giving a small volume in the “deep" part
of the wrinkle, making it smoother. It can also be used to give more volume to
the lips or to improve their contours. The application is done in the doctor's
office with "anesthesia" in cream form. After the treatment, an edema
occurs as well as a discrete redness in the wrinkle, being able to disappear
in some hours or in up to 4 days. The average durability of the hyaluronic acid
is of 6 months, in some people it can last longer and in others less. The great
advantage is the security because the product, as time goes by, is absorbed and
eliminated by the kidneys without complications.
Botulinum Toxin (Botox®) - It
smoothes wrinkles caused by the movements of facial musculature, especially
in the forehead, between eyebrows and in the corner of the eyes. This product
is applied in the doctor's office. It can be used on more mature people or
young individuals who wish to prevent deep wrinkles. It lasts for four to
six months.
